BGHC 2010 House League Playoff Format

Championship day will be hosted on Saturday March 27^th and 28^th 2010.  Schedule to follow at the completion of round robin and finalization of seedings.

 To determine the participants for Championship Day we will run a round robin where each team plays each other (Double round robin in the Midget Division).  Points will be awarded as follows – 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss.  The two teams with the most points after the completion of the round robin format will advance and play for the division championship.   Consolation final(s) will also be played.

 Playoff designated games will be 3 periods of 10-10-12 minutes in duration.  These games are still subject to our curfew rule.  There are no “overtime” periods in playoff games.  If tied at the end of regulation time both teams receive 1 point.

In the event of a tie after completion of the round robin series, the following tie breakers will be used to determine seedings;

1.      Tied teams records against each other (not applicable in three way tie)

2.       Number of wins

3.      Fewest goals allowed

4.      Fewest penalty minutes

5.      1^st goal scored head to head between teams tied.

6.      Flip of a coin

 Standings will be maintained on Bladenet.

NO PICK UPS ALLOWED.  The House League Director may approve the pick up of a goalie in an emergency situation.
