Scholarship Award

Each year, the Burlington Girls Hockey Club will present their annual scholarship award to a deserving member of the Burlington Barracudas organization. This recipient will be chosen by the BGHC scholarship selection committee to receive a $1,500 honorarium that will go towards their post-secondary college or university education. This scholarship award will be presented to the individual who best meets the selection criteria noted below, as well as understands the value in being involved in the organization.

Scholarship Award Eligibility Criteria:

• Currently a player or member of the coaching staff of a team in the Burlington Girls Hockey Club

• Must have a minimum of 3 consecutive years with BGHC as a player and/or member of a coaching staff.

• Must be in your graduating year of high school

• Show evidence of attending a post-secondary institution for 2009/2010 school year

Scholarship Award Selection Recommendation:

• Show evidence of other involvement within the organization [E.g., (but not limited to) volunteering, mentoring, assistant coaching, refereeing].
